Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate and show how much that special someone means to you. This year, I thought it would be a great idea to have an intimate dinner at home. I hit the Salvation Army thrift store to find some items that might help add a chic and fancy touch to my home dinner. These three items caught my eye—a decanter, a set of Umbra candle holders and a pair of candles.

I’m so happy I found these items at the prices I did. The candles were $3, the candle holders were $4 and the decanter was $9. The decanter was my most rewarding purchase within this haul. When browsing online, it seems that other stores are selling similar ones for more than $70! It’s incredible that all these items were under $20 combined. Salvation Army thrift stores are always my first stop when looking for unique items that can help elevate my space, especially since I can save so much money by doing so.

I set up my dinner table using these items along with some flowers and coloured napkins to add to the romantic element I was going for. And I was able to find my key items for this day while thrifting.

Here’s the finished look. I hope you love it as much as I do. Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!

Looks beautiful! Great finds! You should feature The Salvation Army thrift store window displays from Swift Current SK. They are always stunning!!! Lori does such an amazing job with the donations and then holds an auction for the items she displays!!
