Lent Resources

Lent resources provide devotionals, prayer guides, reflections, and planning tools to support churches, families, and individuals throughout the Lenten season. These materials encourage spiritual reflection and help prepare hearts for Easter through meaningful discipleship and engagement.

Journey Through Lent with Ever Approaching Dawn

Prepare your congregation for a meaningful journey through Lent and Easter with Ever Approaching Dawn, a 15-session devotional from Christianity Today. Rooted in Scripture and thoughtful reflection, it works well for personal devotion, small groups, or leadership teams. If your corps would like a digital copy, email corps.mission@salvationarmy.ca to request access and begin planning for the season ahead.

Indigenous Lenten Guide

For the upcoming season of Lent, we invite you on a journey shaped by the wisdom of scripture and the voices of Indigenous peoples, guided by the principles and articles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

On Ash Wednesday, February 18, and then each Monday in March, the link below will be updated with exercises, guided prayers, family activities and reflection questions to strengthen our commitment to reconciliation and turn our hearts towards justice, healing and right relationships.

Learn and Grow Together in a Community of Practice

These small, welcoming peer groups offer a supportive space to share stories, exchange ideas, pray together, and learn from one another as you navigate ministry in your local context. Call and Commitment 2026

Each year, the month of February is designated in our territory as Call and Commitment Month. This is a time to inspire and encourage individuals to reflect on God’s calling and explore how they might respond to His invitation to full-time vocational ministry. It is also an opportunity for congregations to be in intentional prayer for those who are discerning God’s calling for their lives.
