The Salvation Army’s Deep and Wide Training Platform. Ocean with a blue sky.

The Salvation Army is committed to ending modern slavery and human (MSHT) trafficking around the world. Since the launch of the Canada and Bermuda territorial / national Fight for Freedom MSHT Response Strategy, we continue to see more and more ministry units and people wanting to know how to get involved while being equipped and empowered to do so. The Introduction to MSHT Certificate was developed as a first step in providing education, awareness, and training on the topic of MSHT in Canada and Bermuda. Building off of that, we continue to create specialized, stage two training for frontline workers and interested individuals that is committed to educating, equipping, and supporting ministry units and locations as they explore and step into these spaces of supporting people with lived experience

“He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord really wants from you: He wants you to carry out justice, to love faithfulness, and to live obediently before your God”
Micah 6:8 (New English Translation)

In the training that we will be providing for MSHT response work, we want to go DEEP so that we may carry out justice, love faithfulness, and live obediently before our God as we work to end modern slavery and human trafficking.

“But this is a people battered and cowed, shut up in attics and closets, Victims licking their wounds, feeling ignored, abandoned. But is anyone out there listening? Is anyone paying attention to what’s coming?”
Isaiah 42:22 ( The Message)

We also seek to go WIDE to encompass, recognize, support, journey with, and amplify the voices of those with lived experience who are coming into our ministry centers and locations.
