Integrated Mission DNA: Community

A community can be broadly defined as a group of people with something in common. This could be a shared place of living (such as a neighbourhood or village) but could also be a common interest, area of work, lifestyle, belief system, culture or language. As people open themselves to receiving care, and are given opportunity to offer care in return, they gradually develop a sense of belonging, of ‘community’ and begin to contribute to the life, well-being, problem-solving and celebratory aspects of all that community involves.
