Cadets at the College for Officer Training in Winnipeg are getting hands-on training in integrated mission. Under the direction of Claire Dunmore, territorial integrated mission secretary, the cadets had 45 minutes to engage in three outreach opportunities:

Coffee Talk: Find someone to have coffee and conversation with;
Sidewalk Chalk: Decorate a busy corner of the sidewalk and intentionally engage in conversations with passersby;
Questionnaire/Survey: Ask people, "The Salvation Army is trying to get to know our community better—would you help us by answering this survey?"

The cadets reported that "God showed up" in several instances. Four people were prayed with. Two people gave their contact info for The Salvation Army to reach out and connect with them in the future. And one person accepted a coffee and took the opportunity to engage in conversation. As well, people helped with the sidewalk chalk and several filled out questionnaires.
