The Pathway of Hope team in Vernon Community Church has been working tirelessly to bring about change in the lives of those who have fallen in hard times. Their efforts have paid off as they have witnessed firsthand the success of Pathway of Hope, and this year they have been recognized with the Best Practice Ministry Unit Award.
The team has created a safe and welcoming space for participants to connect and build a community. Pathway of Hope Connect is a group that has become a beacon of hope for those who felt alone and isolated in their struggles. The peer support group brought together individuals going through similar challenges and provided them with a platform to share their experiences and find solace and encouragement.
Through their participation in Pathway of Hope, the participants in Vernon have rediscovered their purpose and found a new sense of belonging. They have become an integral part of the community and are now giving back by volunteering their time and skills. The team has witnessed the transformation of these individuals, who have gone from being recipients of aid to being active contributors to the well-being of others.
“Giving back is a core focus of the Pathway of Hope Connect group. At Thanksgiving, the participants gathered to help sort food received from our annual food drive. Our next Give Back Day will be a community barbeque in partnership with our local Street Church ministry.”
The Vernon team has been recognized for their efforts, and the Best Practice Ministry Unit Award funds would be used to further their cause. In addition, the participants were excited about the upcoming community barbeque, where they will have the opportunity to share their personal stories and inspire others to step into their journey of transformation.
The team knew that the success of Pathway of Hope was not just about providing aid but also about building relationships and creating a sense of community. They have witnessed the power of faith and how it can transform lives. They are proud to be a part of this initiative and are determined to continue their work in bringing hope and healing to those who need it most.
