COMMUNITY MISSION

Community Mission is about building relationships with our neighbours, outside of our buildings, and in our communities. The goal is to strengthen communities by responding holistically to the needs of the people we support and built on the foundations of CARE, COMMUNITY, CHANGE, and HOPE.

Learning Pathways will provide the students with the essential tools to gradually develop a sense of belonging, of ‘community’ and begin to contribute to the life, well-being, problem-solving and celebratory aspects of all that community involves. Learning Pathways will help students experience genuine connection and relationships within community, witnessing and participating in processes of change.

Through a learning cohort formed in your corps, youth, or women’s group, you will journey with fellow students and explore ways in which you can make more meaningful connections in your community, through work, school, clubs or neighbours. Reflecting on your own personal beliefs and priorities will help you better understand your skills, talents, and passions.

Students will complete all 12 sessions of both Community Engagement and Personal Development through registering for the online e-learning or by filling in the supplied workbook and keeping track of personal reflections and practical applications.
