Community Care Sunday - Salvation Army Canada

Community Care Ministries

Commuity Care logoCommunity Care Ministries exists to provide spiritual and social ministry to the needy in the name of Jesus Christ and to be a transforming influence in the community.

It consists of a group of spiritually motivated men, women and young people who engage in compassionate, caring ministry, coming alongside the vulnerable, the lonely, the sick and the aged with love and acts of mercy.

Its main focus is on building a better community through care and prayer, and on expressing the love of Christ in a practical way by reaching out to the lonely and hurting in our communities.

Late spring/early summer usually indicate it's time to express appreciation to all the workers who contribute to the ministry of The Salvation Army.  Community Care workers contribute all year long, visiting nursing homes and senior's residences, shut-in's and those who are isolated and lonely.  Community Care workers also connect by telephone and through card ministries, and delivering Sunshine bags to hospitals and other institutions at Christmas.
Dare To Care is a resource package which includes a Sunday service outline,  call to worship, sermon drama, song selections, master slide set and more.  Download this resource: Dare To Care
