Virtual meetings are a standard feature of today''s business landscape, but they pose distinct obstacles that can undermine their effectiveness. For one thing, it''s difficult to establish camaraderie - so essential to the natural flow of ideas - from a distance. You may not be able to predict all the bad things that could happen in a meeting. But there are some general patterns of meeting flow and participant behavior you can prepare for. To manage common meeting problems, be prepared with these techniques:
Disciple-making ministries make disciples who make disciples. As individuals grow in their faith and its expression through life and ministry, disciple-making disciples need to be developed. As emerging leaders are entrusted with new responsibilities, their further development and growth in faith is vital. Leaders are learners. As leaders develop new vision and opportunities for mission and ministry will emerge - which in turn can lead to new opportunities for outreach and evangelism, spiritual growth & development, and ministry & service. Disciple-making ministries should always be forward-looking, developing and encouraging emerging leaders and an expanded vision for ministry in their community and world.
Every corps, regardless of size needs a framework to support the mission. A governance model is the framework to align communication and decision-making with the objectives of the corps.
