LEADS Applied Leadership Certification
Step into the next stage of your leadership journey with the LEADS Learning Series—an engaging, two-day experience that equips Salvation Army leaders with the skills, behaviours and insights needed to lead with purpose, vision and impact.
LEADS Applied is a dynamic in-person learning experience that builds on your foundation in the LEADS Capability Framework. Designed for officers and employees who have completed the Foundational Leadership Certification, this two-day workshop helps you move from knowing to doing—translating leadership theory into practical, mission-driven action. Through group dialogue, real-world application and peer collaboration, you’ll strengthen your ability to lead with purpose in your ministry context.
Eligibility:
This program is open to all employees and officers across The Salvation Army in Canada and Bermuda who have:
- Completed the Foundational Leadership Certification.
- Receive their supervisor’s approval.
Program Structure
The LEADS Applied Leadership Certification consists of a two-day workshop that offers:
- A deeper dive into the LEADS framework.
- Opportunities to apply concepts through reflection and group activities.
- Peer learning and discussion to explore leadership challenges and solutions.
This interactive learning environment helps participants move from theory to practice by exploring how leadership skills apply in their daily roles.
Certification and Digital Badge
Upon completing the program, participants will receive an official certification from The Salvation Army in the form of a shareable, verifiable digital badge through Credly. This badge represents your commitment to personal leadership development and ongoing impact in your ministry context.
Program Duration and Delivery
- Format: In-person.
- Length: 2 full days (typically 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
- Frequency: Offered periodically throughout the year in various locations.
Program Costs
This program is fully funded by Leadership Development as part of The Salvation Army’s investment in growing strong leaders across the territory. All program costs, including travel expenses, are covered by Leadership Development. There is no cost to you or your ministry unit.
