In the life of The Salvation Army in Canada and Bermuda, June is especially meaningful as we celebrate the ordination and commissioning of new lieutenants and auxiliary-captains. After prayerfully signing a covenant, they take their place publicly, receive their ordination and are commissioned to their first appointment. Through a collaboration with PHARA Community Services in North Bay, Ont., The Salvation Army has provided PHARA with equipment at no cost for use in the program. Individuals can borrow equipment through PHARA’s Assistive Devices Program for up to 90 days at no charge.

The Salvation Army has recently welcomed a reconditioned van to its local outreach, transforming it into a unique coffee shop on wheels and positioning itself within the heart of student communities across key regions including Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria.
