The Salvation Army's Booth University College in Winnipeg has announced a new partnership with Asbury Theological Seminary (ATS), a United States-based seminary in the Wesleyan-Arminian tradition with more than 100 years of history.
ATS is a well-known and well-respected institution with five schools (biblical interpretation, counselling, theology and formation, mission and ministry, and advanced research programs) offering degrees in person and online, and attracting students from 80 denominations and 40 countries.
This partnership will grant eligible Booth UC bachelor’s degree graduates advanced standing into a number of ATS master’s degrees (up to 12 credit hours of a 48-credit-hour program) and a special Booth UC scholarship provision of up to 35 percent of the tuition costs. Three particular degrees have been identified—MA in leadership, MA in ministry and MA in pastoral counselling and spiritual care—but other degrees may be eligible for Booth UC graduates on a case-by-case basis.
Additional details concerning student eligibility and application process will be posted on BoothUC.ca very soon.
This is such a GREAT news. ATS is a very good seminary. The collaboration between two universities will be greatly beneficial for the spiritual growth of our future students/soldiers.
