On May 30, The Salvation Army Toronto Grace Health Centre celebrated its inaugural fund-, friend- and awareness-raising event, Embrace the Grace. Originally planned for May 2020, it finally came to fruition at the Bram and Bluma Appel Salon at the Toronto Reference Library with 330 guests in attendance.

The evening included a silent auction with everything from sports memorabilia to tickets for fine dining opportunities to personal care packages. Dinner was a culinary delight, provided by Daniel et Daniel. Michelle Dubé of CTV News did a masterful job as the evening emcee. The highlight of the night was musical performances by headliner Robert Pilon of “Les Miserables” fame and his guests, the Canadian Staff Songsters and choral group Edge of the Sky.

The finale featured the entire ensemble singing "Amazing Grace.” The spirit of the Grace was captured in the staff, volunteers, guests, presentations and the music.
