    Advent (DERWIN GRAY)

Who exactly is Jesus? What kind of God would come to earth as a human? As Christmas approaches, the season of Advent offers us a chance to reflect on our savior, his purpose, and the surprising ways he invited people near to him. Join pastor Derwin Gray in this five-session Advent study as he unveils King Jesus—the God-man who defied expectations, the king of all creation who humbled himself to serve and die, the friend to sinners who wants to lift us up.

    Advent (J.D. GREEAR)

The Christmas story, or Advent, is more than a sentimental myth or a quiet manger scene we use to decorate our living rooms. The Christmas story is the good news of God entering into our darkness. Join J.D. Greear in this four-session series as he takes a deeper look at Jesus as Emmanuel, our Wonderful Counselor, the Everlasting Father, and the great I Am. When you know Jesus, you will realize Christmas is more than a nice story—the arrival of Jesus changes everything.

    God Came Near (MAX LUCADO)

In the midst of the gloom of winter, the darkest and coldest of seasons, Christians still wait with great anticipation for the happiest season of all, Advent. Travel back in time and relive the coming of Christ to Earth, as He gives up His throne next to God the Father to enter this world as a baby born in a manger. Filmed at England's beautiful Blockley Church, join acclaimed author and pastor Max Lucado as he provides insights on the season of Advent.

    NUA: Christmas (SARAH CAMPBELL)

NUA:Christmas explores the why behind the glitz and glam of Christmas, considering how the first Christmas fits with the narrative of the Jewish faith. The Jewish people had been awaiting a Savior for thousands of years since his coming was foretold in the Garden of Eden. All signs were pointing towards this unique moment in recorded history but when it arrived it was nothing like what they were expecting! We eagerly look forward to Christmas each year, but that wasn’t the case for most people for the very first Christmas! It was certainly a big surprise for Jesus’ mum Mary to find out she would be the mother of the Messiah. Join Sarah Campbell, Darren Bourke and Mark Murray on a very unique and entertaining journey that highlights the true meaning of Christmas.

The Life of Mary (MARGARET FEINBERG)

The Life of Mary is a 4-part Bible study that unfolds Mary's life and transforms it to a 21st century audience with teaching by Margaret Feinberg. In this series, Margaret shares insightful discoveries on Mary's unique situation and brings to life her fears and struggles. Each session walks down Mary's road of faith as she journeys through a life of unbelievable events that ushers in Jesus Christ. Perfect for small group Bible studies.

The Holy Moly Christmas Collection (SPARKHOUSE)

Each episode in the Holy Moly Christmas Story Collection helps kids explore more of the awesome story of how Jesus came into our world. In addition to “Jesus is Born” this volume includes episodes covering Christmas stories such as “Mary and Elizabeth” and “The Magi Follow the Star.” The imaginative visuals and humorous sound effects give kids the opportunity to retell the story in their own words and bring the Bible to life like never before.

Advent: What Is It, and How Is It Celebrated?

Advent is a four-week season in the Church calendar dedicated to anticipating the arrival, or "advent," of Jesus of Nazareth, the long-awaited Messiah and King. Christians from many backgrounds celebrate this time with reflections on hope, peace, love, and joy. And while their practices may look different, all focus on the hope-filled arrival of Jesus.

    BibleProject | Advent Reflections

BibleProject designed Advent Reflections to inspire individuals, small groups, and families to celebrate the advent, or arrival, of Jesus. This four week plan incorporates animated videos, short summaries, and reflective questions to help participants explore the biblical meaning of hope, peace, joy, and love. Choose this plan to discover how these four virtues have arrived to the world through Jesus.
