Day 38–February 7, 2020

Unceasing Prayer

Ministry Expression
Oshawa Temple, Oshawa, Ont.

Praise
Through a church-wide small group campaign featuring John Bevere's The Bait of Satan, more than 120 people learned what it means to let go of offenses and forgive others who have wronged them. The six-session material gave both adults and youth the opportunity for healing and holiness. Following the series, a Sunday morning worship service featured a love feast that gave people an opportunity to pray together and show their love for each other.

Petition
We pray that our leaders – who we characterize as mature, God-seeking Christ-followers – would learn and grow more in hearing from God and being renewed by him. Pray that God will break through and begin a new work in our leaders and this congregation.

Intercession
Our community has been gripped by a cycle of dependency and idolatry. We want to be light and liberation for those still in darkness and bondage. May we learn and fearlessly use the tools put at our disposal by the Holy Spirit to do this.

Shared Scripture

Passage
1 Kings 8:1-9:9

Reflect
The Temple was a special place where God's glory was present. Do you sense God's presence clearly when you go to church? How? What might “cloud” that sense?
