Dear friends,

We greet you in the name of the Lord and continue to count it a privilege to be “partners in the gospel” with you (see Philippians 1:3-5).

With the conclusion of 100 Days of Unceasing Prayer and Shared Scripture quickly approaching, we want to extend a word of appreciation for your commitment to this journey. In our travels across the territory, many have shared their experiences with us, and we have been encouraged by them. More than a thousand people have been sharing in the praises, petitions and intercessory prayers of 100 ministry units from across Canada and Bermuda. Together we have taken them to the throne of grace in prayer and listened carefully for God’s voice as we have read his Word.

As we continue this journey of prayer and shared Scripture, we invite you to communicate your thoughts and reflections on what you have learned so far by answering three questions. Your feedback will be invaluable as we discern together what God has in store for our territory. We believe he will do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Thank you for prayerfully considering your responses as you reflect on what you have read, heard and prayed about in these days.

May God bless you. May God bless his Army. May God bless Canada and Bermuda and bring blessing to the nations through The Salvation Army.

Yours in Christ,

Floyd and Tracey Tidd, Commissioners
Territorial Leaders, Canada and Bermuda

Day 49–February 18, 2020

Unceasing Prayer

Ministry Expression
Ridge Meadows Ministries, Maple Ridge, B.C.

A spirit of positivity for new beginnings and new approaches is resonating with our staff and community. God is present here! We need to look forward and to God for the future. We need to be proud of our faith and the work we do.

Pray for patience. Our community has undergone many changes due to mental health and addictions in the last few years and we need patience and time for change to happen.

Pray for our community members who want to see us fail or do not see the work we do. There is a lot of negativity and ill feelings for our work in this community. May they see the good we are doing and understand what is and what is not in our control. Pray for understanding, forgiveness and truth.

Shared Scripture
