Dear friends,

We greet you in the name of the Lord and continue to count it a privilege to be “partners in the gospel” with you (see Philippians 1:3-5).

With the conclusion of 100 Days of Unceasing Prayer and Shared Scripture quickly approaching, we want to extend a word of appreciation for your commitment to this journey. In our travels across the territory, many have shared their experiences with us, and we have been encouraged by them. More than a thousand people have been sharing in the praises, petitions and intercessory prayers of 100 ministry units from across Canada and Bermuda. Together we have taken them to the throne of grace in prayer and listened carefully for God’s voice as we have read his Word.

As we continue this journey of prayer and shared Scripture, we invite you to communicate your thoughts and reflections on what you have learned so far by answering three questions. Your feedback will be invaluable as we discern together what God has in store for our territory. We believe he will do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Thank you for prayerfully considering your responses as you reflect on what you have read, heard and prayed about in these days.

May God bless you. May God bless his Army. May God bless Canada and Bermuda and bring blessing to the nations through The Salvation Army.

Yours in Christ,

Floyd and Tracey Tidd, Commissioners
Territorial Leaders, Canada and Bermuda

Day 51–February 20, 2020

Unceasing Prayer

Ministry Expression
Orillia Citadel, Orillia, Ont.

We are grateful that the support of our congregation for our first-ever Halloween trunk-or-treat event resulted in us meeting 300 new people from our community. This has helped to launch a monthly youth activity night where 30-40 junior- and senior-high students enjoy fun and fellowship, and more importantly, where the gospel is shared.

Pray that areas of leadership in our corps recently vacated as people relocated to other parts of Ontario will be filled. Pray that as we assess the needs of our corps, we will follow the Holy Spirit’s leading to the people that God has called us to serve here in Orillia.

There has been a 12% increase in the number of families we are serving through our family services. Pray that we will effectively serve our community and reach the hurting and lost with the love of Jesus.
