Dear friends,

We greet you in the name of the Lord and continue to count it a privilege to be “partners in the gospel” with you (see Philippians 1:3-5).

With the conclusion of 100 Days of Unceasing Prayer and Shared Scripture quickly approaching, we want to extend a word of appreciation for your commitment to this journey. In our travels across the territory, many have shared their experiences with us, and we have been encouraged by them. More than a thousand people have been sharing in the praises, petitions and intercessory prayers of 100 ministry units from across Canada and Bermuda. Together we have taken them to the throne of grace in prayer and listened carefully for God’s voice as we have read his Word.

As we continue this journey of prayer and shared Scripture, we invite you to communicate your thoughts and reflections on what you have learned so far by answering three questions. Your feedback will be invaluable as we discern together what God has in store for our territory. We believe he will do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Thank you for prayerfully considering your responses as you reflect on what you have read, heard and prayed about in these days.

May God bless you. May God bless his Army. May God bless Canada and Bermuda and bring blessing to the nations through The Salvation Army.

Yours in Christ,

Floyd and Tracey Tidd, Commissioners
Territorial Leaders, Canada and Bermuda

Day 72–March 12, 2020

Unceasing Prayer

Ministry Expression
Thunder Bay Community Church, Thunder Bay, Ont.

We have been living in a season of growth and are about to stretch our wings into two congregations. We are thrilled and humbled by the new people that the Spirit is leading to us for Sunday worship.

We ask for prayer for the congregation to desire to mature in their faith and share their faith (becoming disciples and making disciples). Pray that our congregation will embrace the new people that have been attending to help them feel a part of the family. Pray for God to continue to financially provide for his church here, and that our people will fully trust him with their finances and be generous to those in need.

Thunder Bay has become an immigration pilot city for 2020. Pray that newcomers will experience a successful transition into our city. Pray that our entire church family will be used by the Lord to assist them and provide for them with welcoming hearts through practical assistance and genuine relationships. Pray for the families of newcomers who are still in their home countries, that they can be reunited soon (often one person comes alone, leaving behind their spouse, children, etc.). Pray for wisdom for us to hear and obey God’s will.
