Dear friends,

We greet you in the name of the Lord and continue to count it a privilege to be “partners in the gospel” with you (see Philippians 1:3-5).

With the conclusion of 100 Days of Unceasing Prayer and Shared Scripture quickly approaching, we want to extend a word of appreciation for your commitment to this journey. In our travels across the territory, many have shared their experiences with us, and we have been encouraged by them. More than a thousand people have been sharing in the praises, petitions and intercessory prayers of 100 ministry units from across Canada and Bermuda. Together we have taken them to the throne of grace in prayer and listened carefully for God’s voice as we have read his Word.

As we continue this journey of prayer and shared Scripture, we invite you to communicate your thoughts and reflections on what you have learned so far by answering three questions. Your feedback will be invaluable as we discern together what God has in store for our territory. We believe he will do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Thank you for prayerfully considering your responses as you reflect on what you have read, heard and prayed about in these days.

May God bless you. May God bless his Army. May God bless Canada and Bermuda and bring blessing to the nations through The Salvation Army.

Yours in Christ,

Floyd and Tracey Tidd, Commissioners
Territorial Leaders, Canada and Bermuda

Unceasing Prayer

Ministry Expression
Honeychurch Family Life Resource Centre, Brampton, Ont.

We thank God for providing the opportunity and great privilege of sharing in the stories of his people, leading to the provision of pastoral care and the meeting of practical needs. (God always reveals himself through our generous community/faith groups and partnerships when there is a need).

For our residents, we request sufficient grace, perseverance and the willingness to follow God’s will in dealing with the daily challenges and obstacles they face. For our staff, unity, compassion and a passion for the mission of The Salvation Army made evident through their daily service.

Pray for the landlords and other housing providers to open their hearts and facilities to our clients, to take a chance on them even with bad credit and other barriers, and to give them an opportunity to find a suitable home.

Shared Scripture

Romans 8

What does it mean to be “more than conquerors”? Are you one? With all the suffering around us, can we really say God works all things together for good?
