SendTheFire.ca—The Salvation Army's official youth and young adult site—has been re-designed with an all-new look and layout. As well, they've added new features that help them accomplish their mission of connecting with youth and inspiring them to live their faith in action.

NEW FEATURES
Prayer Wall – Young people can be supported in prayer. They can post prayer requests and/or leave a prayer here.
Events Calendar –The monthly calendar allows youth workers, DYS's and the STF team to post area, divisional, territorial and Canadian events (Salvation Army & other) for those aged 13-25.
Job Board – Get your children, youth and community outreach ministry positions in front of passionate Salvationist young adults who feel called to children and youth work. Post a job or if you're feeling called to this kind of work, check out the job postings board.
Daily Devotions – Every young person across Canada has access to FREE, top quality daily devotionals that can be delivered directly to them through Facebook or email.
Faith In Action – They've added links to invite Salvation Army and non-Salvation Army young people to live out their faith in action by getting involved in the Gifts of Hope program, thrift stores and food banks all year long.
Personalized Web Surfing – Young people can surf SendTheFire.ca and custom its appearance by selecting from optional themes. They can even keep it on random so it'll switch its appearance every time they click a page.
Community Designed – Young people with graphics abilities can now use their talents and passions to create new themes they'll add to the site. They can download the template at sendthefire.ca/media/yourgraphics.
Cell Group Materials – In an effort to resource local youth workers (volunteer and paid), they've added cell group materials as FREE downloads off the site to help resource them and/or peer led cell groups.

“We're adapting to the changing cultural landscape our youth are in by using technology, the web and social networks combined to connect with and engage them,” says Clint Houlbrook, editor of Sendthefire.ca. “One way in which we are utilizing social networking is by driving conversation and connection through Facebook. In a territory as large as Canada and Bermuda, SendTheFire.ca serves as a hub and connection point to unite all of our young people and help those who feel disconnected to connect and belong.

“Pray for us as we work alongside churches, youth workers, officers, divisional youth secretaries and families in the spiritual formation of our younger generation. Check out the site and encourage anyone you know that's between the ages of 13 to 25 to surf the site for themselves and become a fan of SendTheFire on Facebook.”
