International Headquarters has approved the following appointments effective January 1, 2024. 

Lt-Colonel Brian Armstrong, currently serving as Divisional Commander, Prairie Division, to be Divisional Commander (Prairie and Alberta and Northern Territories Division)

Lt-Colonel Lynn Armstrong, currently serving as Divisional Director of Women’s Ministries & Divisional Secretary for Officer Personnel, Prairie Division, to be Divisional Director of Women’s Ministries & Divisional Secretary for Officer Personnel (Prairie and Alberta and Northern Territories Division)

Lt-Colonel Sandra Stokes, currently serving as Divisional Commander, Newfoundland and Labrador Division, to be Divisional Commander (Quebec, Maritime, Bermuda, and Newfoundland and Labrador Division)

In addition, from July 1-December 31, 2023, the following are appointed as interim Divisional Commanders for the divisions to be merged in January.

Lt-Colonel Brian Venables, currently serving as Divisional Public Relations Secretary, Alberta and Northern Territories Division, to be Divisional Commander, Alberta and Northern Territories Division (Pro Tem).

Major Everett Barrow, currently serving as Corps Officer, Cedarbrae Community Church, Toronto, Ontario Division, to be Divisional Commander, Maritime Division (Pro Tem).

Major Cathy Simms, currently serving as Corps Officer, St. John’s Citadel, Newfoundland and Labrador Division, to be Area Commander with responsibilities as Divisional Commander, Bermuda Division (Pro Tem). She will continue as Area Commander for Bermuda from January 1.

Major Mélisa Tardif will continue as Divisional Commander, Quebec Division, until January 1 when she will become Area Commander for the same region.

All other appointments affected by the divisional mergers will be announced in conjunction with the annual general change announcements in April.
