Turn an old piece into a new one with the power of the pepper! June 22, 2022 By Osareme David Dom-okoebu- Filed Under:

We all have pieces of clothing that we’ve loved at some point but have not worn in a while. But adding your own little touch to the garment might make you think again about wearing it. Here’s how I gave my old denim jacket new life using green bell peppers and acrylic paint!
Supplies Needed: one bell pepper (or a lemon for a slightly different print), acrylic or fabric paint and a clothing item of your choice.
Step 1 Cut the top off of a bell pepper, making sure to shake out the seeds.
Step 2 Pour paint into a deep dish.
Step 3 Lay out your garment.
Step 4 Dip the cut side of the pepper into the paint.
Step 5 Begin printing on the garment, making sure to press the pepper down long enough forthe garment to absorb the paint.
Step 6 Repeat this process until the desired pattern is achieved.
Step 7 After printing, hang up the garment to allow the paint to dry completely, approximately 20-25 minutes.
