Unceasing Prayer
Ministry Expression
Thunder Bay Community and Residential Services, Thunder Bay, Ont.
Praise
One of our main prayers over the past year has been for God to send us staff who are committed to the ministry we do, allowing us to provide a more stable, welcoming place for our clients and residents. We have been excited to see that all of our positions are filled and the atmosphere is quite positive. We have a regular day staff of 23 and have been averaging 12-15 at staff devotions each week. We feel that we have ministry to staff as much as clients.
Petition
We are still raising funds for our new facility through our capital campaign. We will make another push once the Christmas kettle campaign is over so we are asking for people's hearts to be stirred to give toward this amazing future.
For our clients, we pray for their safety through the extremely cold winter months and for them to see some glimpse of Jesus in us every day. For our staff, that they will have the physical, emotional and spiritual stamina they need to deal with the complex issues we face in Northwestern Ontario. For the executive director, that God will give them strength and wisdom to lead through significant changes for both clients and staff.
Intercession
Thunder Bay struggles with racism, with addictions and mental health issues. The wider northern communities struggle to survive every day, with critical numbers of suicides and deaths. Pray that people will find hope in Jesus Christ and that we might have opportunities to introduce him to them.

Passage
Genesis 11:1-9
Reflect
The motivation for building the Tower of Babel was pride. How can pride be both a good and a bad thing? What examples of both kinds of pride have you seen?
