Unceasing Prayer

Praise
We praise God for drawing the chaplaincy team and our staff into a greater understanding of the hurts and needs of our residents. We praise him for the growing desire not only to pray for these needs but to look for ways to creatively speak into those needs through prayer, through providing intentional opportunities for hope, through being a people of compassion and caring.
Petition
With a growing number of people with mental health issues and an increase in residents relapsing, pray for our leadership and chaplaincy team. May God give them wisdom, clarity and vision on how to address the issues our residents face so that they might find healing, transformation and hope for today and the future.
Intercession
Pray for those in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver who are caught in the grip of addictions and homelessness; for seniors and others who may become homeless due to a shortage of sustainable housing; for refugees fleeing to our country who turn to The Salvation Army for assistance; for a heart of understanding and love towards those who come to us with different beliefs and faith but who need us to be an instrument of God’s love and grace.
