iM Train the Trainer
Divisional and territorial integrated mission champions receive training and train others. May 20, 2019 Claire DunmoreCaptain Peter Kim uses sidewalk chalk as a tool to engage community.On the morning of May 14th a train the trainer session was held for new territorial and divisional integrated mission champions.
6 champions received training:
Major Lorraine Abrahamse - Newfoundland and Labrador Division
Captain Peter Kim - Alberta and Northern Territories Division
Major Mike Puddicombe - Ontario Great Lakes Division
Chris Noel - THQ Youth Department
Heather Osmond - THQ Music and Gospel Arts Department
Lemoy Whilby - THQ Integrated Mission Department
In the afternoon, the newly trained integrated mission champions put theory into practice by collaboratively training 5 corps members from North Toronto Community Church. The afternoon included classroom learning and discussion, along with an hour of street outreach in the Yonge and Eglinton area. Corps members and champions worked together to engage the community in conversation using sidewalk chalk and questionnaires.
