Pathway of Hope General Information Session

Description: This training provides an initial introduction to Pathway of Hope. It reviews the purpose and intended results of the initiative, and provides a process overview and background theory. Team requirements and next steps for ministry units looking to implement Pathway of Hope are presented.

Requirements: This training is open to Salvation Army Officers, employees, and volunteers with a desire to learn about Pathway of Hope.

Time Commitment: 1-2 hours

 

Pathway of Hope Implementation/Onboarding

Description: This training provides an in-depth look at the Pathway of Hope initiative. Trainees will consider a local vision for Pathway of Hope, effective team work, and how to partner with the community. The tools and functions for both case work and spiritual care roles are explored. The Pathway of Hope features in Link2Feed are presented. Training concludes with the development of an action plan to assist teams in applying what they have learned.

Requirements: This training is delivered by invitation only. Ministry units teams must complete a sequence of preparatory activities and be approved to attend. This is accomplished in partnership with a Pathway of Hope Regional Coordinator.

Time Commitment: up to 16 hours

 

Role Specific: Pathway of Hope Case Worker

Description: This training introduces the Pathway of Hope approach and its supporting theory. Team structure and community collaboration are also discussed. It provides an in-depth look at the tools and functions for the case worker role. The Pathway of Hope features in Link2Feed are presented.

Requirements: This training is available for (1) new case workers at established Pathway of Hope locations and (2) previously trained Pathway of Hope case workers.

Time Commitment: 7-8 hours

 

Role Specific: Pathway of Hope Spiritual Care

Description: This training introduces the Pathway of Hope approach and its supporting theory. Team structure and community collaboration are also discussed. It provides an in-depth look at the tools and functions for the spiritual care role. The Pathway of Hope features in Link2Feed are presented.

Requirements: This training is available for (1) new spiritual care providers at established Pathway of Hope locations and (2) previously trained Pathway of Hope spiritual care providers.

Time Commitment: 7-8 hours

 

Refresher: Pathway of Hope Case Worker

Description: This training reviews the Pathway of Hope approach and overviews the tools and functions for the case worker role. The Pathway of Hope features in Link2Feed will be referenced. This session provides an opportunity for established case workers to be reminded of their training, ask questions, and engage in discussion.

Requirements: This training is available for caseworkers previously trained through an implementation/onboarding training or full role specific training. This session is not intended for new Pathway of Hope caseworkers.

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours

 

Refresher: Pathway of Hope Spiritual Care

Description: This training reviews the Pathway of Hope approach and overviews the tools and functions for the spiritual care role. The Pathway of Hope features in Link2Feed will be referenced. This session provides an opportunity for established spiritual care providers to be reminded of their training, ask questions, and engage in discussion.

Requirements: This training is available for spiritual care providers previously trained through an implementation/onboarding training or full role specific training. This session is not intended for new Pathway of Hope spiritual care providers.

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours

 

Link2Feed for Pathway of Hope

Description: This training reviews the Pathway of Hope features in Link2Feed outlining the full range of case work and spiritual care functions. It does not include general training on the Pathway of Hope approach (it is software training only). It does not provide training on the general use of the Link2Feed system (it will cover Pathway of Hope features only).

Requirements: This training is available for personnel who have received implementation/onboarding or role specific training.

Time Commitment: 60-90 minutes
