About Corps Mission Resource Department

The Corps Mission Resource Department exists to serve and inspire divisional and corps leadership teams with customized resources; to raise up healthy reproducing churches that fulfill the great commission in the spirit of the great commandment.

The corps mission resource department at territorial headquarters provides a wide range of resources to assist ministry workers at the corps level.    

 

CORPS MISSION RESOURCE SECRETARY

Major Leslie Wiseman  Coordinates the efforts of the various consultants, nurtures strong connections with Divisional Commanders and their teams;  assesses the needs of our front line ministries across the territory in order to prioritize and customize the resources and support of the corps ministries team.

PROJECT & ADMIN COORDINATOR

Micah Stewart: Provides administrative assistance to the department head and the department efforts, manages and supports ongoing projects such as the Learning Opportunities, conference details, registration and travel arrangements for several department conferences. Assists with day to day tasks for the department and processing overseas Soldier transfers, retirement and/or long service recognition certificates for the Territory.

COMMUNITY AND FAMILY SERVICES CONSULTANT

Peter Thomas: Provides consultant services to corps with active Family Services, offers coaching, service evaluation, resources, strategic thinking guidance, networking of ideas and ministry opportunities, and planning for Family Services ministry enhancement. J Watson

CORPS HEALTH AND PLANTING CONSULTANT

James Watson: Provides research, resources, coaching and training for starting new corps‎ and for congregational renewal; organizes and conducts several distance learning opportunities with special guest speakers and intensive coaching experiences

ASSOCIATE INDIGENOUS MINISTRIES CONSULTANT

Captain Crystal Porter:  Provides spiritual and practical guidance and empowers First Nations (Indigenous) people for leadership; proactively educates and enables local personnel for effective spiritual and practical ministry with First Nations (Indigenous) people.

Several program opportunities are available such as: The Blanket Exercise - an interactive teaching resource; seminars on Indigenous Spirituality & Culture; active engagement with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Actions; assistance with Community Development with local Indigenous communities.

INDIGENOUS MINISTRIES CONSULTANT

Major Shari Russell: Provides spiritual and practical guidance and empowers First Nations (Indigenous) people for leadership; proactively educates and enables local personnel for effective spiritual and practical ministry with First Nations (Indigenous) people.

Simon Downey

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST

Geoffrey Ho: Ensures that there is regular contact with corps ministry personnel across the territory through website content, a monthly newsletter, social media tools such as Facebook and Twitter.  Manages projects such the Annual Ministry Review, Home Missions Focus Fund, and input into new software development for corps.

STEWARDSHIP RESOURCES CONSULTANT

Conducts intensive stewardship research and evaluations to corps across the territory, including financial, material  and people resources. Most often on site campaigns include time with the Ministry Board/Corps Council, a corps dinner and special Sunday, bringing a holistic and biblical perspective to the challenges of stewardship.

MEN’S MINISTRIES CONSULTANT  Engenders team work, cooperation and prayer to mobilize Men’s Ministries in this territory; strategically and systematically assesses and resources new and existing Men's Ministries with tools for regular gatherings and retreat events. LEARNING DEVELOPMENT & PROJECT COORDINATOR

Oversees the planning, organization and execution of various learning opportunities including training for officers and local leaders across the Territory; and other special Corps Mission Resource Department related projects.

TERRITORIAL EVANGELISM CONSULTANT

Major Stephen Court: Provides leadership, vision and effective management of TSA’s evangelism effort/office/ministry. This includes the development and monitoring of an annual plan and budget for travel, training and outreach; advocate and direct the implementation and coordination of a strong evangelism agenda in close collaboration with G&T champion and all sections of the Mission Department.
