Friends,
The Salvation Army across Canada and Bermuda has responded to the call to mobilize for COVID-19 response readiness. As declared in the earlier released “Call to Mobilize” video, our first point of mobilization is to prayer.
Sunday, March 29, is The Salvation Army’s International Day of Prayer for Children and Youth. Promotion of this prayer emphasis has been circulated and we are grateful for the participation with our global Army that will take place across the territory. Please visit this link to download resources.
As part of the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada (EFC), The Salvation Army has also been invited to participate in a Global Day of Prayer and Fasting this Sunday, March 29, as part of the Christian church’s wider response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The EFC has partnered with the World Evangelical Alliance in this endeavour. Please visit this link to access the prayer and fasting resources.
These two prayer initiatives provide a foundation upon which we join together as a global Salvation Army, and as part of the global church. Let’s dedicate this Sunday to worshipful reflection and prayer.
There is much work currently underway and ahead in the coming days. We are mobilized to respond as we are called upon and as God leads us. Thank you for your partnership in the gospel—a gospel that matches the hour—and for your partnership in prayer.
