Message from the Territorial Commander
January 2021
To all Salvationists, friends and supporters of The Salvation Army’s Partner in Missions Campaign,
Commissioner Tracey joins me in sending our warmest wishes at the start of this New Year. Along with our friends and colleagues in the international Salvation Army world, we say a big THANK YOU for your support of the 2020 Partners in Mission campaign.
The international work of The Salvation Army is enabled and encouraged by your kindness and generosity. We thank you for making the Partners in Mission campaign a personal priority. Your ongoing interest and support in the global ministry of our organization is inspiring. We are particularly grateful that despite the challenges the year 2020 presented, we still managed to raise more than $1.4M through this campaign!
The goal for 2021 is $2.3 million. Our slogan is “Heart to God, Hand to Man,” and we will be highlighting the Army’s work in Zambia through our digital, print and web platforms. We understand that in these challenging times international fundraising is difficult, especially when we have so many people in need in Canada and Bermuda, however, as a global organization with work in 131 countries, we are “called” to support those who daily make significant sacrifices to serve suffering humanity.
Our world has changed, yet the mission and ministry of The Salvation Army continues. Today, more than ever, communities, families and individuals around the world rely on the Army, which is why we need to redouble our efforts for the 2021 Partners in Mission campaign. Together we can positively impact the lives of thousands of people who desperately need practical assistance and the hope found in Jesus Christ.
May God bless you.
Commissioner Floyd J. Tidd
Territorial Commander
