Territorial Commander's Message - Salvation Army Canada

Message from the Territorial Commander

January 2019

To all Salvationists and friends who support the Partners in Mission Campaign,

At the start of this New Year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your outstanding support and commitment to the Partners in Mission Campaign. 2018 was the most successful PIM campaign in the history of our Territory because of your generosity and commitment to ‘others’ – thank you!

My heart is filled with compassion and love for those who we are called to serve in Christ’s name in often difficult and challenging circumstances. Indeed, the work of the international Salvation Army – which continues to grow as we now serve in 131 countries – is aided in large part by your prayerful and practical support. You are a partner in mission!

The 2019 Partners in Mission campaign will highlight Salvation Army ministry in Malawi and Mozambique. You will be interested to note that Mozambique became a new partner territory in January 2018.

Friends, thank you for being a partner in the international ministry of The Salvation Army and thank you for your financial support. The goal for the 2019 Partners in Mission Campaign is $2.3 million and I write in faith believing that we can reach this goal and even surpass it! The Salvation Army’s mission around the world continues to grow and for this we thank God. With your continued partnership, we can ensure hope and help is provided to hurting people in communities across the world.

In closing, I leave with you the word of the Apostle Paul as recorded in Philippians 1:3-6: “I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

May God richly bless you.
