How sad that so many will dance for their pride and lust but so few will dance before the Lord. The biggest battle most of us face is a battle with our dignity. It seems that once we become dignified and concerned about our respectful image, the Holy Spirit is grieved and leaves. Could this be because Jesus Christ gave up all his dignity when he was impaled naked between two thieves for us?
Lord, shame on us for being ashamed to express our thanks. It seems that the Holy Ghost is always with the despised lot. The early Salvationists like the early church were scorned for their euphoric expressions. On the day of Pentecost they thought that all hands were tipsy with wine. King David danced before the Lord with all his might and his own wife despised him for it (see 2 Samuel 6:16).
It seems that God can make his people so thankful and happy that they will want to dance with the joy of the Lord. Not only did they show up the religions of the day with “Glory dancing” but they gave of themselves and loved more than everybody else around.
