Broadview Village

“Broadview” is home to 68 residents (ages ranging from 29-60), and has 8 multi-unit homes throughout the city, 3 of which are off site.  With a staff of over 125, it's a busy place with lots to do and activities to enjoy.  Major Dora Keeping is the chaplain of this quaint community and this year has given a greater focus to the Partners in Mission campaign.   Major Dora admits, “I couldn't have done it without the support of the residents”. 




The Salvation Army- World Missons - Richard Richard

Richard and the other residents at Broadview Village typically receive ODSP for incidentals and spending money.  Richard recently made a promise to one of the staff members that he would hang on to a loonie for the entire week and donate it to Partners in Mission campaign, no small feat.  Church day arrived and there was Richard and his small black, Velcro wallet and the loonie he had been saving. 


World Missions is so thankful for the hard work, dedication and compassion that the residents and staff have shown.  Not only is this a success for the Partners in Mission campaign but also a success for Broadview Village, Richard and all of the residents.
